If the former chalet-restaurant in Marsoui near Henley Beach housed vibrant businesses for several years (notably the very welcoming Café du parc managed by Lucien Tardif, now retired), this municipal space had been vacant for over a year when Mandoline Hybride decided to make it their Headquarters in July 2022 for the entire duration of the 3rd edition of FURIES — contemporary dance festival. Given the success of the concept, which offered small dishes to eat on-site or to take away, as well as a carefully curated selection of books, the organization based in Marsoui since 2018 decided to occupy the premises year-round!
Today, L’Hybride offers a range of products entirely from Quebec, free or low-cost sociocultural activities, as well as telecommuting equipment (ergonomic workstations, keyboards and mice), and leisure equipment (volleyball net and ball, petanque games, blankets and beach games), all free of charge.
L’Hybrid is powered by the organization Mandoline Hybride, based in Marsoui since 2018.
